Expert skiers have a sixth sense -
"intelligence of the feet",
Olympic and World Cup champion Jean-Claude Killy called it.


All of their movements are conditioned by what is happening at the level of the contact between their skis and the snow. Instead of skiing by "position" they ski with their feet. Information is picked up by the soles of the feet in the boots and movements are initiated by the feet and legs, instead of the upper body. This snow sense is also the secret to good skiing.
